EL products are a "COLD" light source. They are cool to the touch. No heat is generated by the light producing mechanisms of an EL product. Our ELs have an expected lifetime of 5,000 hours. Powered by just a pair of AAA batteries, it can run for 12 hours continuously. Use it year around at trade shows, culture festivals, holiday celebrations. Note: EL caps are designed for maintenance-free display. Cleaning the surface is as easy as wiping it with a dry or slightly damp cloth. We recommend not using any cleaners or solvents and never immerse your cap in liquid of any kind.
